Eleanor and I were playing on the floor one morning last week when I picked up my camera to document how she interacts with her room. Plus, it was her first time sporting these floral pants and they were just begging for some documentation of their own.
Eleanor's into rocking chairs lately, both trying to rock them and trying to climb them.
She loves to pull all of her clothes out of her drawers. Trying to keep her clothes neat and folded seems futile at this point. We are slowly working on getting her to help put them back in her drawer, which happens about 10% of the time.
And since I always get on a soapbox about how mothers should be in photos with their kids more, even if they aren't feeling too pretty at the moment, I decided to put the camera on self timer and try to get some of us together.
Of course, this play session wouldn't be complete without her requesting to wear her backpack. Eleanor will hold it out to me, give me a desperate/pleading look and go "Uh uhhh uhhh." She looks like a kindergartner with it on and it's part thrilling, part terrifying for me to see. She'll keep it on for as long as I'll let her.
I'm trying to pick up my camera more often to catch glimpses of us doing ordinary things like this at home. I don't like to do it all the time because it can sometimes ruin a good moment but every now and then it's fun to document.
I love this! Her cheeks! The lips!! We've been trying to teach Clara to clean up her messes for probably over a year now and it still only happens about 50% of the time😁
