I guess I got so excited that it was Spring Break that I just took a break from all the demands on my time and let myself enjoy being with family and getting things done around our house. But I am back! And here is what we are up to...
-Aaron finished his last day of class EVER on Monday! He is now in full blown finals studying mode, trying to crank those babies out (the finals, that I mean) as soon as possible so he can be FREE
-I just finished planning the second to last unit in both my World Civ and Geography classes. That means I will just have one more unit to plan for each and then SUMMER! Wow, I never thought I'd be at this point.
-We have been getting to bed earlier (hallelujah) and eating meals (yay for work/life balance!)
-Aaron won the Marriot School foos ball championship. The jury is still out on whether or not that will be a more proud moment for him than when he walks to get his diploma (more on this tournament thingy later).
-I officially committed to run a half marathon! I'm grateful that Erin is running it too. We do our Saturday runs in the Provo Canyon and we are doing 6 miles this week! I haven't run six miles since I trained for my last half marathon in 2008....
-We have been watching Monk and even though it is mostly a light hearted show (other than the fact that it is about murder cases) I think it's starting to get to me. I've always been scared of showering when no one else is home because I think about how someone could break in and I would have no idea. The other night, I swore I heard noises outside of the shower, so I said a prayer that my death wouldn't be too painful and then pulled the curtain back, sure that I would be eye to eye with an attacker. There was nothing. Pathetic.
-Aaron graduates next Friday (wahoo!). I'm so proud of him. This past year has been a long one for him school-wise and I can't wait to see his grin when he gets across that stage. We have been coordinating with our families who are coming in town and I am excited to see everyone together to celebrate.
-I still don't know what I am doing for a summer job or a job in San Jose. This is usually people's favorite question to ask me and I don't have an answer.
-I printed out pictures and hung them in our room. They make me happy every day.
And that's a random snapshot of our lives. Now I will proceed to write a lot of posts about what's specifically been going on these last few weeks :)
Yay for summer and graduations!! You guys have worked so hard- you deserve to take a deep breath in the sunshine! Good luck in the sprint to the finish :) happy happy
