Call us crazy but we bought a second crib and Eleanor's in love.
We put her old crib in the baby's room (the same crib Aaron slept in as a baby) and then bought this crib that is able to convert into a toddler bed. I just wasn't ready to put her in a toddler bed quite yet, in large part because I wanted to preserve our sleep through the first six months of a new baby in the house.
The day we set up the new crib and did the crib switcheroo, Eleanor ran back and forth between the cribs, pointing and saying "Elnor's crib!....Baby's crib!....Elnor's crib!....Baby's crib!" She's all about ownership these days and was happy to be the owner of a new crib.
